Webinista is…
Webinista is the freelance operation of Tiffany B. Brown, an Atlanta-area web developer.
Eventually I will have enough free time to build a site that’s kick-ass. Until then, here are the basics.
What can I do?
The short list:
- CSS & (X)HTML development
- JavaScript / DOM Scripting / DHTML development
- PHP and MySQL web application development
- Relational database design
- ActionScript 2.0
- WordPress development (themes, custom features)
- ZenCart customization
- HTML e-mail development, poMMo and phpList installation / configuration
I've also tinkered with CodeIgniter, ASP.NET, ColdFusion, Mootools / Moo.fx, and the Google Maps API. Whatever I don't know, I usually learn pretty quickly.
Software I’m pretty handy with …
… or know enough about to fake it convincingly.
- BBEdit
- Coda
- Dreamweaver
- Fireworks
- Flash
- Photoshop
- Vi
Should go without saying: I know how to use most FTP programs. I’m also bi-OS-ual and pretty comfy with a Unix shell.
Current availability
I am NOT available. I'm in the middle of some freelance projects and finishing up some projects at the 9-5.
Rates & Pricing
My base rate is $75 per hour. Need ball-park figures?
- Small web sites usually cost between $3000 and $5000
- Larger web sites that require a content management (publishing) system cost between $5000 and $8000.
- Custom development ranges from $200 for a form-to-email script to a few thousand for something more robust.
Just need something small? Let me know. Your specific costs will depend on precisely what you need.
Experience
I have worked on the web
since 1999, mostly for media companies. I've developed web sites since 2001 (as a freelancer) and worked as a full-time web developer since 2004.
FYI: Webinista, LLC is my 5-to-9. I also work full time at Armchair Media.
